James Weeks nominated for the Ivors Composer Awards

UYMP offers many congratulations to James Weeks on his nomination for the 2022 Ivors Composer Awards!  His work Fantasie di strani e dolci misteri della parola for mezzo soprano and violin was nominated today (18th October) in the small chamber category.  The winners of the 20th edition of The Ivors Composer Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 15th November, at the British Museum, London. 

The awards ceremony is sponsored by PRS for Music, in association with BBC Radio 3, who will broadcast a special edition of the New Music Show dedicated to the awards, on Saturday 18th November, from 10pm.  James’ composition, which has been recorded on the Winter & Winter CD ‘Book of Flames and Shadows’, by soprano Lucy Goddard and violinist Sophie Appleton,  may be heard on Amazon music, Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube Music.
